Today I want to share my bathroom essentials with you. I mentioned before that I am no beauty expert, but every girl has her favourite products and brands. And after years of a strict skincare regime, I know what works best for me. I am a big fan of natural skincare, which means I try to use products that are free from preservatives and additives as much as I can. Especially on my face I try to follow the rule, "If you can’t eat it, don’t put on your face!". Which means I sometimes apply the DYI method and end up melting and whipping body lotions and face masks in the evening when everyone else is asleep. Here is my recipe for a great body moisturizer. It is very rich, but great after a day on the beach as a after-sun moisturizer and in winter, you can use it on a daily basis to keep the moisture locked in: Slowly melt unrefined Shea Butter, pure Coconut Oil, Mango Butter, a little bit of Argan, Olive or Vitamin E oil with a few drops of your favourite essential oils and let it cool down. Then use a hand-mixer and whip it until it turns into a soft buttery texture. Absolutely amazing! Please try it and let me know what you think.
