Now that we are in September, one of my favourite month in the year where the summer period comes to an end and the cosy autumn season begins, I decided to feature a colour that many of us associate with dreariness and sadness or find it rather boring and plain: Lamproom Grey.

Despite being a colour addict, I love this soft and calm hue by Farrow & Ball, which according to the Dorset based paint and wallpaper company is ‘A match to the original white which had dirtied down due to the trimming of lamp wicks.” How amazing is this?

London Design Festival is on later this month from 19th to 27th September with shows such as Decorex, Tent and Design Junction on the schedule. But it all kicked off in beautiful Paris (actually the not so beautiful Parc des Expositions in Villepinte on the outskirts of Paris) with Maison & Objet on Friday

Autumn Trends 2015

It is September and this month the beautiful season of autumn officials starts - I find it quite refreshing after a long, sunny and hot summer. Great that everyone is back at work, full of energy, enthusiasm and new ideas after the holidays.

I love the autumn season where the days get shorter and we carefully pack up our summer frocks and bring out the transition wardrobe, that leads us into the cooler period of the year.

White on white is hard to get right - here's how the Greeks do it!

As you may know, I am currently vacating in sunny Greece. The weather is marvellous and the sea varies between bright turquoise and deep blue, depending on the time of the day and the depth of the ocean. Pure paradise!

As beautiful, varied and inspiring the Greek landscape is Greek architecture, especially the typical Cycladic style with its white and exteriors and simple, but often stylish interiors are some of my favourites in the word. White works perfectly as a backdrop to the blue sky and sea, as well as having a cooling and calming effect in the often so hot and humid summer climate.
