This week I want to share one of my favourite hotels with you, in one of my favourite cities: The Avalon in LA. Avalon Hotel, a luxury downtown Beverly Hills boutique hotel, was originally built in 1949 and renovated by in US über-interior designer Kelly Wearstler (the author of Modern Glamour: The Art of Unexpected Style, Domicilium Decoratus and Hue) in 1999.

Are you feeling blue this month? With spring in the air and blossoms everywhere, I am definitely not! But I am very much feeling our amazing April ‘Colour of the Month’: Delft Blue. I love this deep Mediterranean blue by Fine Paints of Europe, which is inspired by Delft pottery, the tin-glazed, blue and white pottery made in the Netherlands from the 16th century.

Casa Rosada, translated, as ‘The Pink House’ is a striking structure, evidently noticed for its flamboyant colour and Italian style. Built fit for a queen, you would think. It is actually homed to the Presidents offices in Argentina.
