Welcome to the 9th month of the year. This is a very busy and interesting period if you work in fashion or interiors, as the collections for the forthcoming season are shown at various trades shows all over the world. We are taking part at Maison & Objet in Paris for the first time and are very excited to present our Aburi collection to the world. So if you are around feel free to come and visit us at our stand in Hall 8. I will post the invitation on the blog later this week. Now to our colour of the month. We are featuring ‘Tide Pools’ in September. I came across this refreshing colour by Pratt & Lambert and immediately fell in love with it. Inspired by rocky pools that are filled with seawater, which often only exist at low tide, it is a blueish green, which reminds me of taking dip in the sea during a hot summer holiday on a tropical island. Tide Pools a very natural colour, which is fresh and at the same time calm and restful. When using Tide Pools, aqua or turquoise as a colour scheme in your home, be aware that depending on the light and the time of the day this particular colour can change from a fresh to a rather cold colour, so it is important to combine it with warm and soft hues. Tide Pools works very well with sunflower yellow and fuchsia, chocolate brown and black& white. And 'Tide Pools' home accessories, such as cushions, glazed vases and lamps are an easy way to introduce colour to any space. I will keep my eyes open when in Paris for new items and inspirations for the blog. So keep checking and don’t forget to bring colour to you life this month!
