January: Florida Pink

January: Florida Pink

acw: Pink Peonies, Tom Ford Santal Blush, Mac Flamingo Lipstick, Pair of Swedish Baroque Commodes, 1950s Swivel Love Chair, Diane von Furstenberg Harper Bag, Jerome C Rousseau Cork Platforms, Pink Top Shop Faux Fur Coat

I have always loved this old-Florida inspired pink, which reminds of the Key West Victorian architecture, flamingos, peonies and everything bright and happy. The warmth and cheeriness of this deep raspberry pink looks amazing on a feature wall or if you are brave enough in a whole room. People with a more traditional approach to wall colours, who opt for white or beige walls, but still love a statement piece in a strong colour can add the Pink Love Chair to their interiors to create a wow effect. And Florida pink accessories work great with denim or whites. I love the Diane von Furstenberg Harper bag, it look so elegant and feminine. Pair it with a light pair of skinny jeans, a navy blazer and a cute top and off you go. Studies have confirmed that exposure to large amounts of pink can have a calming effect on the nerves. The colour pink puts people in touch with the nurturing side of themselves, through either the need to receive or the need to give, nurturing and TLC (tender, love and care). So let’s be calm and nurturing this month and enjoy the effects of this beautiful colour in the home, accessories or anywhere else.
